Cymphani Hargrave is a young [African American, Jamaican, and Bejan] photographer whose art exudes and embodies life's complexities, she does this through the process of isolating familiar feelings and emotions that her audience can relate to. Along with being a native New Yorker, one can say that her unique perspective of life is directly translated through her art. Her passion for telling stories and capturing various life events through her camera lens’ carves out a unique niche that many have not captured before. As she studies Political Science and Studio, she continues to channel what it means to be a photographer while constantly contemplating what she can contribute to the world through the art form of photography.
